Moneros nowhere to be found

Hi. My sister bought moneros on Anycoin.com during January through May , but until today not a single monero is showing in her wallet. I double checked with Anycoin.com and they said everything is properly recorded in the blockchain and it may be a syincing issue and we should contact monero. We emailed the support a week ago, but as of now no response. Any help or advise where we can find a solution? thanks!

Ensure that monerod has complete sync. Try that "status" command, and wait till it reaches 100%. If you're using the GUI, monerod will be run automatically, and the status appears in the lower left corner I think. Then, once monerod is 100%, the wallet will scan the blockchain and see the monero. So you need to make sure both are up to date.

thank you so much for replying. My sister and I are both using the web wallet of the monero website and I don't see any status command there - is it hidden somewhere? thanks again!
