I compiled bitmonerod with the latest commits by Noodle Doodle and the blockchain fully synced in 24 hours on a cheapo $5 vps. The difference in speed is huge, 20x faster syncing! There is no reason for Monero users not to run the full wallet after these changes. It should now sync in a few hours on any modern laptop. Amazing work, devs!!!
