Receiving money- need to be synced?

hello,

my english isnt that well. today i started with monero. unfortunately i didnt found a thread about my question.

so i installed the gui on a fresh staged notebook and synced my gui to an official node.

then i did an order to buy 1 monero to my monero adress.

question: did i receive my monero still when im not connected to the node/network? did i need to run that notebook all the time and be synced to the node/network? or did i just received my monero the next time i sync to the node/network?

thanks alot

You only need a fully synced node to confirm or send funds from your address.

It is not necessary to keep the wallet running or fully synced. (A paper wallet or cold storage does not rely on a fully synced node)

I like to keep my node up to date so I can see incoming transactions and send funds away whenever I wish. Plus, the network benefits from having more nodes sharing the blockchain.

I hope I answered your question.
