I had the same issue; I removed the corrupted blockchain and re-downloaded it completely.

My blockchain lmdb became unreadable by monerod following a power failure induced machine crash. Is the equivalent of the BitcoinQT "-reindex" available anywhere for XMR? If not, this ommission needs to be addressed ASAP IMHO.
