trying to mine with MSI GTX 1080 and it sucks ...

Hi guys, I have been mining for few weeks now with very old PC (sandy bridge 2500k + gigabyte gtx 970 G1 gaming) with total max result of 540H/s (pool pool.supportxmr.com with xmr stat cpu and gpu). So I figured, why not to buy R7 1700 with 1080 gtx so to mine more. R7 1700 is mining around 600H/s but my MSI gtx 1080 X+ ony 510H/s (and with OC on memory + 700-800 I can finally reach 600H/s which IMHO i just sad...).

Can someone help or guide or just confirm that my gtx is poorly chosen.

THanks a lot.

600 MH/s for the 1080 is definitely too low. On which OS are you mining?

Windows10. I just did a clean install so to be sure it isn't the problem. Mine GTX 970 G1 does 400H/s and 1080 without OC 510H/s. Tried dozens of combinations in parameters but without much change.

That's odd. My MSI 1060 that I'm using to test my pool easily reaches 540 H/s with Core +100 MHz and Memory +800 Mhz using ccminer 2.2.
